A great partnership begins today.
The Centre for Strategic Cyberspace + International Studies and the The ASEAN CIO Association has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the intention to work together to promote cybersecurity within ASEAN, to improve the positioning of cybersecurity in governments. intergovernmental organizations, social-economic organizations & companies in ASEAN countries, as well as to improve the cybersecurity hygiene for all other stakeholders in the cyberspace in general.
This relationship allows both parties to jointly outreach to an executive IT audience within the Asean region to share our CSCIS thought leadership.
Through the community of CIOs it will also help us realize the regional cyber security dynamics so that we can normalize threats and trends globally.
Objectives:
(A) intention to work together to promote cybersecurity within ASEAN, to improve the positioning of cybersecurity in governments. intergovernmental organizations, social-economic organizations & companies in ASEAN countries, as well as to improve the cybersecurity hygiene for all other stakeholders in the cyberspace in general.
(B) Working on a think tank collaborating on all international cybersecurity-centric initiatives driven by the ACIOA for ASEAN.
(C) to establish themselves as the key platform for cybersecurity exchange within ASEAN, as co-owners in the establishment and running of an ASEAN-level cybersecurity forum to be held annually as key auxiliary fixture within the Partner owned event, ASEAN CIO Forum, to be called tentatively “The CSCIS ASEAN Cybersecurity Dialogue” (“Dialogue”).
(D) Co-develop thought leadership artefacts focusing on cybersecurity issues that have a ASEAN focus for distribution in online and offline media, and co-own these materials with equal rights.
