Centre for Deep Tech Research
The Centre strives to address strategic questions presented by technology systems analysis, policymaker engagement, and the operational experience of our interdisciplinary practitioner community that is focused on the advancement of technologies
The Centre for Deep Tech Research
The Center for Deep Tech Research (CDTR) aims to devise timely and practical strategies that focus on research surrounding technology.
CDTR accomplishes its mission by producing forward-looking research, assessments and in-depth analysis, and by convening regular consultations with representatives of leading public – private sector organizations, academia and, civil society groups, corporations, and other research organizations. Emphasis is placed on producing research, analysis, and recommendations that are realistic and workable.
From Research and analysis on cyber, security and policy, in specific areas crucial to business, to predicting trends in cyber and the impact of regulatory, governance, and policy changes, CSCIS can complement your firm’s skills and instil and deliver problem-solving capacity with new ideas.
The Centre for Deep Tech Research will focus on the current progress of the deep tech researches and applications in the following domains and its related applications with the establishment of each research group:
- Artificial Intelligence
- Internet of Things
What is Deep Tech?
Deep Tech is having profound impact on segments including autonomous systems, robotics, smart home/cities, medical devices, clean tech, energy efficiency and many more developing or emerging application areas.
We define Deep Tech as technology that is based on tangible engineering innovation or scientific advances and discoveries. Deep Tech is often set apart by its profound enabling power, the differentiation it can create, and its potential to catalyse change. Deep Tech often possess fundamental and defensible engineering innovations that distinguish them from those that are focused on the incremental refinement or delivery of standardised technologies.
Deep Tech can span across many technological areas and can impact diverse applications. On the technological front, these can include processing and computing architecture innovations, advances in blockchain, electronics, vision and speech algorithms and techniques, artificial intelligence and machine learning, cybersecurity and more.
