Ray Sugiarto

Ray Sugiarto, is a regional general manager with CSCIS. Ray has been around on the Indonesia Cyber Security scene for the last 18 years and is passionate about using technologies to enable business.

He was involved in many of the design of Indonesia’s largest internet gateway in both Banking and Telco industry in the earlier days of the industry as a network security person. He was a passionate product champion for many of the well known brands that are now established on the market and done some good work educating the market about topics like Privilege Access Management and recently into the world of deception technology as a tool for blue teams. 

Ray has since than evolved into a more complete business person, equally at ease talking about Cyber Security or Presenting a Business Case. In recent years due to business needs, ray has also been involved in consulting work on areas like cyber security work combined with expertise in areas like hybrid cloud and now new generation infrastructure and digital transformation needs will affect security in large enterprises 

Into the current last decade, Ray has been passionate about his local community platform Indonesian CIO Network (ICION) which he co-founded with two others and the series of ICION Bali conferences that in 2020 will be into the 8^th in the series. Onto his last leg in the IT world in Indonesia and hoping to leave behind a good legacy. Hoping to leverage his 18 years of experience in the industry to lead, to network and do some good advisory work (cyber security, hydrid cloud combined with cybersecurity & business skills coaching) for the community and CSCIS. 

Ray is taking up the role of being the CSCIS GM for Indonesia and hoping that his twin passion of technologies and business will be useful in raising the profile of CSCIS in Indonesia and helping CSCIS to make some new friends and lasting relationships into the country.
